Having served as a fishery for 20 years, we expanded our offering by introducing water activities to allow more people to enjoy visiting us at Ashdown Leisure.

Water Activities

There is plenty of fun to be had on our lake with our water activities! Whether you are keen to try out kayaking, paddle boarding or would like to enjoy rowing around our lake, you can book with us today! Our water activities are suitable for both adults and children and are ideal for parties, corporate events and more.

Fly Fishing

Our fly fishery is regularly stocked with fully finned, hard fighting trout. You can fish from eight stages based around the island or from flat bottomed boats which are available free of charge, though we do recommend that you bring your own life jackets if you’ll be using the boat. The fishery closes during July and August due to the high temperature of the water during summer.

Had a lovely weekend break here the place is so peaceful, and the owners make you feel welcome, worth every penny. The water sports are really good value, and they were very hands on with my small children, it was great. Definitely recommend as a place to go, we will go back, the children didn’t want to leave, they loved it.
